Porzio Compliance Services, LLC (PorzioCS) formally welcomes Kevin Craig as Assistant Vice President of Safety, Security, and Investigations. Craig started with PorzioCS as a consultant in 2018. Since then, school safety and compliance has escalated and has created the need for a full-time subject matter expert in safety and security within PorzioCS.
Craig joins the PorzioCS' School Safety and Compliance team; a specialized team focused on assisting schools in all aspects of security, information security, employee training, and advocacy. Attorneys and professionals lead the team with deep backgrounds in education and safety, including a former Special Agent in Charge of the Newark Field Office of the United States Secret Service, former Commissioner of Education and former First Assistant Attorney General, and former Assistant Commissioner of Human Services.
Before joining PorzioCS, Craig was Chief of Police of Jefferson Township Police Department and Director of Safety and Security at High Point Regional High School. Craig was also the CEO/Founder of Shield32 Security Consulting, LLC, a company that provides hazards emergency planning, security assessments, education, and training to meet specific security needs.
Craig holds a Master's Degree in Administrative Science with a specialization in School Security and Safety Administration. He has represented the NJ State Association of Chiefs of Police on the NJ K-12 Task Force with the Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness and was appointed to the NJ School Security Task Force by the Governor of NJ as a subject matter expert. Chief Craig is a member of the ASIS International School Safety and Security Council and the NJ Association of School Resource Officers Advisory Board and NJASRO Senior Instructor. Most recently, Chief Craig was appointed as the Vice-Chair of the Morris County Responsible School Violence Prevention (RSVP) Policy Development Working Group and served as an instructor for the NJ School Safety Specialist Academy with the NJDOE Office of School Preparedness and Emergency Planning.
