Michelle Axelrod helps pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology companies navigate complex healthcare compliance and regulatory matters with practical, business‑minded guidance. With more than 25 years of experience, she works with clients at all stages to establish, assess, and maintain effective compliance programs. She also advises on medical affairs, clinical, and commercial activities, promotional review processes, patient support programs, and field related matters.

Through PorzioCS, Michelle leads compliance and operational assessments to support compliance and other functions and improve operational efficiencies, consults on the regulatory review of communication materials, and guides on the development of  compliance programs and monitoring plans. She prepares policies, SOPs, training materials, and other resources to support compliance efforts. She also provides training and coaching to MLR committee members and to compliance officers to support skills development and effectiveness. 

In addition to her work with PorzioCS, she is also Managing Principal of Porzio, Bromberg & Newman’s New England office, where she advises life sciences clients on the legal frameworks governing clinical activities, commercialization, market access, interactions with healthcare professionals and patients, and conducts legal risk assessments to support compliance programs.
