PorzioCS is proud to announce that Aida L. Sanchez, Assistant Vice President for Safety, Security, and Cannabis Compliance, has been recognized as one of NJBiz’s 2023 Best 50 Women in Business honorees. This award highlights the remarkable achievements of 50 women who have made significant contributions to both the New Jersey business landscape and the broader community.

After an open nomination process, an independent panel of judges selected the honorees using a points system to evaluate submissions. Sanchez’s inclusion among these accomplished women speaks volumes about her dedication and impact.

Before joining PorzioCS in February 2023, Sanchez held esteemed positions, including a high-ranking role in emergency management and homeland security for Jersey City. Her extensive experience as a security and technology consultant further enriches her skill set.

Sanchez’s primary focus at PorzioCS has been to expand the burgeoning cannabis compliance practice. With more than a half of a decade of experience in the cannabis industry, she has solidified her reputation as an effective and trustworthy compliance consultant. She specializes in navigating the intricate municipal application process for cannabis retailers seeking recreational licenses, a daunting challenge that can hinder businesses from realizing their dreams. Despite these formidable hurdles, Sanchez has successfully secured numerous recreational licenses for her clients, notably playing a pivotal role in establishing the first cannabis retailers in Roselle and Jersey City.

Sanchez’s career extends beyond the cannabis sector. She has held pivotal roles in both the public and private sectors, particularly in the realm of security technologies. For over a decade, she served as the Deputy Coordinator for the Jersey City Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, achieving historical recognition as the first Latina to hold this position. Before joining PorzioCS, Sanchez was the CEO and owner of EOC Technology Innovations LLC, a minority woman-owned business and consulting company based in Jersey City. Her firm focused on enhancing the security of public and private company operations.

NJBiz will recognize the 2023 honorees at an awards ceremony on October 25, hosted at The Palace at Somerset Park.
