Porzio Compliance Services is pleased to announce that Aida L. Sanchez has been appointed to Jersey City Mayor James Solomon’s Public Safety Co-Governance Committee. The Committee, unveiled by the Mayor on January 29, 2026, will provide guidance, feedback, and community-based perspective to the administration’s Transition Policy Committees as they develop the First 100 Days Plan and First-Term Action Plan. In announcing the group, Mayor Solomon emphasized that the Co-Governance Committees will “help us listen, learn, and ensure that every neighborhood has a voice in building the Jersey City we all deserve.”
Sanchez serves as Assistant Vice President, Safety, Security, and Cannabis Compliance at PorzioCS, where she provides regulatory compliance and strategic guidance across a range of industries. She specializes in cannabis compliance, serving 20 clients across multiple license types, and focuses on the critical areas of safety, security, and operational compliance for cannabis businesses. Sanchez has played a pivotal role in navigating the complex municipal application process, securing recreational licenses for clients in Jersey City, Roselle, Matawan, and other municipalities.
Before joining PorzioCS, Sanchez was the CEO and owner of a minority woman‑owned consulting firm focused on enhancing operational security for public and private entities. She also served as the Deputy Coordinator for the Jersey City Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, the first Latina to hold that title, bringing deep experience in emergency management implementation and civic collaboration.
