Kevin Craig, Vice President, Safety, Security and Investigations at Porzio Compliance Services, recently served on the technical committee responsible for developing the newly released ASIS Investigations Standard. A dedicated member of ASIS International, a global community of security professionals committed to advancing security standards, education, and best practices, Craig has contributed to several standards initiatives over the years, lending his expertise to help shape best practices across the security industry.

In today’s complex business environment, investigations play a critical role in uncovering facts, mitigating risk, and informing decision-making. Whether handled internally or through external professionals, investigations must be thorough, efficient, and cost-effective. The new ASIS Investigations Standard offers clear, practical guidance to help organizations structure investigations that are fit for purpose and deliver measurable value—all while aligning with legal and ethical standards.

“The development of this standard was a highly collaborative and detail-oriented process,” said Craig. “It was a privilege to work alongside other committed professionals to help create meaningful guidance for the industry. I encourage others to get involved in the standards process—it’s a rewarding way to contribute to the future of the security field.”
