John concentrates his legal practice in alcoholic beverage law and cannabis law. He represents clients in various sectors of these highly regulated industries, and he has served the full range of related businesses including breweries/distilleries, cultivators, manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, delivery services, and retailers. His legal practice includes business formation, licensing, regulatory compliance, and defense of government actions (violations, license suspensions, disciplinary hearings, etc.).

John is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Cannabis Law and Psychedelics Committee and Chair of its Hemp Subcommittee.  He is also a participating member of several alcoholic beverage and cannabis trade associations, and he lectures frequently on various aspects of alcoholic beverage law and cannabis law. Prior to establishing his current solo practice in Newton, New Jersey, John served as County Counsel for Sussex County, and before that his practice encompassed years of diverse legal experience. He began his legal career as an appellate law clerk for Hon. David Landau, J.A.D.
